Who We Are

In my own nursing education, I have always noted the difference between those teachers who taught from their hearts and experience, and those who taught from lifeless theory. Most often, I was the bored one in the back row, saying, “I could do better than this.”

I have recognized that great nursing teachers know how to make complex and difficult subjects simple, understand what content is clinically relevant, and know how to apply new concepts into practice. Great teachers can “talk the talk” because they can “walk the walk.” I also found that the best courses were the ones where we shared our experiences and we laughed, a lot.

So, to paraphrase Mahatma Gandhi, I decided to be the change I wished to see in the world. I founded Paragon Education Nursing Education to provide lifelong learning that is concise, practical, and fun.
